Even the drive up here via the 10 km long Tauplitzalm Alpine Road is a special experience in its own right, featuring eight tight hairpin bends and glorious scenery, including a view of the mighty Dachstein massif. Upon completing the 800-meter vertical gain on this very well maintained mountain road, visitors are greeted by the extraordinary nature of the Tauplitzalm.
