The "6 Lakes Hike" on the highest lake plateau in Central Europe is an absolute must for visitors to the Tauplitzalm. Nicely maintained footpaths and hiking trails lead to picturesque alpine tarns, with no major elevation gains to contend with and stages taking as little as 1 hour to complete. Meanwhile, the Gamsblick via ferrata and numerous alpine tours are very much the reserve of more experienced mountaineers and the chamois. To our sportier guests, we recommend the 4 summits "right outside our front door" as well as other alpine all-day tours.
"Gamsblick" via ferrata on the Traweng, elev. 1981 m
This fixed-cable climbing route is very much the domain of experienced mountaineers as well as the chamois. 300 meters rated "C" in difficulty, accompanied by marvelous natural scenery and 360° panoramas.
