Cross-Country Skiing on the Tauplitzalm

We count cross-country skiers amongst our valued guests. And they are absolutely thrilled by what they discover here at the Tauplitzalm: 15 km of trails for classic technique, 15 km for "skating", all perfectly maintained, winding through landscapes that are quite extraordinary and unique. A claim proudly confirmed by the "Styrian Cross-Country Seal of Quality". Whilst laid-back skiers glide at their leisure through the snowy mountain village and surrounding larch forests, hobby athletes and world champs in the making get in some "serious" training at the "Alm".

Often already snowed-in by early in the season, the Tauplitzalm is also a renowned and immensely popular training center. In November, for example, it could well be that you find yourself sharing the ski tracks with world and Olympic champions. We are happy to provide hobby XCers and pros alike with the latest info on trail conditions, and are excited to welcome you all to our cross-country-friendly Hotel Hierzegger.

From Christmas on, the professional athletes are fully embroiled in competition, which leaves the ski trails of the Tauplitzalm firmly in the hands of the locals and their guests.
